Passion and Persistence
Originally from West Texas
I joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating from High School. Early on in my career as a Marine I was recognized as future leader and I was selected to become a United States Marine Corps Officer!
Marine Corps
I was commissioned a Marine Second Lieutenant.
After completing Officer Candidate School (OCS) and graduating from University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree, I was commissioned a Marine Second Lieutenant. As an officer I served overseas in Okinawa, Korea, Thailand, and Iraq. After serving honorably for over fifteen years, I decided to settle down in Northern Virginia with my family.
Iraqi Freedom
I served
As a Marine Corps Officer, I deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom. This time in my Marine Corps career taught me the importance of family and working with people you trust.
Family
I value spending time with my family
Coming from a close knit family, I know the value of spending quality time and sharing experiences with those you love. I enjoy spending time with my wife and sons exploring the local sites.
“We must all either wear out or rust out, every one of us. My choice is to wear out.” — Theodore Roosevelt
Running
I prepare for most days with physical activity.
After over 30 years of running, I have completed six marathons and countless half marathons. Annually I participate in local runs to stay in shape.
My most recent accomplishment was running for 453 consecutive days!
